Our story
It started around a dinner table.
In 2024, we opened our home in La Puente to a family who had stopped going to church. They were broken and hurt, so we invited them to join us on Fridays for Bible study and dinner. There was no program and no pressure, just a place to belong. Within three months, 15 people were gathering with us to share a meal and open the Word.
Around the fifth month, it happened again; another family called us and asked if we could start a Bible study in their home in Bellflower. We said yes, and the La Puente Bible study moved to Bellflower. Three weeks later, there was no room left in the house, so we rented a larger room at Hosanna, a local church in Bellflower. We met there for the next four and a half months.

A call to pioneer
Just before the Living Word CC La Mirada conference at our home church, we were invited into Pastor Ruben Reyna's office. He encouraged us to pray about opening a church instead of only hosting a Bible study.
We prayed about whether to stay in Bellflower or go to another city. Then a brother from the Bellflower Bible study, Mike, found a storefront building in Long Beach. From June 16-19, 2025, the Living Word "It's War" Conference took place, and out of that conference, we were sent into Long Beach to pioneer a church.
On June 20, 2025, we held our first service in our new building.
LWCC Long Beach was born.

What God is building
God is building a ministry of reconciliation in Long Beach: a place where the hurting are restored, the far-off are brought near, and people find family.
Our foundation is Zechariah 4:6: "Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts." We believe in the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete of God. That's why our prayer meetings are the engine that drives everything we do.
Our core values
LOVE
Loving God and loving one another through genuine fellowship.
EXCELLENCE
Honoring God with high standards in ministry and service.
FAITHFULNESS
Remaining steadfast in our commitment to God's kingdom and His teachings.
FELLOWSHIP
Building strong, supportive relationships within the church family.
OUTREACH
In Matthew 28, Jesus said to go and make disciples, and He chose twelve men from outside the norm of the religious world. We follow His example by taking the gospel beyond the walls of the church.
